first time termlab results

Recommended Posts

Had my 2 12" zv4 on 2 saz-3500v2 on Brian Audiofanaticz termlab yesterday. Did a 149.4 with driver door open and mic on dash. Sealed and on dash I think it was a 147.8? Was at 37hz. The box was the box I had brain make for my FI Qs and is tuned at 34hz. My magnum peaks around 37hz. We did do the kicker but dont remember the number. This box and setup is for music and made for the FI Qs I was running. So I think I might get a box made up for these and maybe go with aero port so I can change the tuning? Not sure yet but happy where its at right now. But was nice to see where im at. Amps still need tweeking and im sure if I moved or opened stuff in the car I could...maybe... get few more .1dbs.

I told him I would love a 150db score. But would take a 147db. Well.. ill take what I got yesterday. We going to try again soon on fresh charged battery bank next time.

Great number for two 12's. If the subs are new let them break in and re-meter in a few weeks and you will likely hit your 150

Have 3 xs d3100 batteries in spare tire area. Brian did the reinforcement to support such weight. And I have a mechman 320amp alt. Looking to get the blue box external regulator to bump resting voltage to 14.8 when playing the system. Ill have it rest and set at 14.6 or even where stock pcm stays at which is 14v flat. I drop to 12.2v on "good pussy decaf" when resting at 14.0v from alt. Does fluctuate from 14.0v to 14.6 with hard hitting bass drops.

Edit: older pic when I started to run the power and ground wires. Doesnt look like that anymore but batteries still the same way.

man i'm jealous. I can't find a damn spot to put my xs xp3000 in my liberty. I got a d 3400 under the hood, I'm only gonna be pushin around 3k when i get my second amp. I wanted 2 zv4 12's but didn't have enough room in my jeep without scrapping my back seats. Love the Magnums btw. Sick ride

Yeah I know what you mean about keeping seats. I have a daughter so I need themnl. Otherwise I want to put them in a 4th order bandpass. Just wish someone made a dual alt bracket for my car. I would already have another 320amp mechman installed.

Edit.. do you have a spare tire well? No sure about jeeps. Id do that like how I did it.

Well the spare tire is on the back of my trunk. I do think there is a small well under my enclosure behind the back seats. It holds a jack for the car. I think its only about 4'' deep thats why i wrote it off to begin with. But now I'm thinking that i might be able to build a small table for my box to elevate it above the well, and then i'll have all the battery room in the world. Random question: do you run your secondary batts off of your alternator? someone in another thread told me that they don't use their alt to charge their batteries. I know you have the charge the battery before it goes in, but i thought that the alt charges it while the cars running

Yeah that is a really good idea!! Stock battery location is in back where the 3 d3100 are. So to answer, yes they charge from my altenator. I do have a xs intellicharger that I bought and used to charge them before I installed them. I also use it to top off when car is sitting just to top off. Havent done it in a while. Under the hood there is a hookup that is used to jump start the car so I just clamp the charger and there and clamp the negative right on altenator since its right there pr right on the 1/0 I have chassis to alt.20131204_103120.jpg[/url[url=http://s1161.photobucket.com/user/martinzidek/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140620_134447.jpg.html]20140620_134447.jpg
