Beckett Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 hello, i will be ordering 2 sets ofthese this week! they are 70rms each, so i would like to run them from a old amp i have, which is a 4x50rms @4OHM this is what i need to know is A: what voltage do i set the amp to to give out 50rms to each of the four speakers? do i set the amp simply to 50rms@4OHM, or 200rms@4OHM? or what do i need to do? use this B: what test tone(Hz) would be best to play whilst i set the gains? and do i turn the volume to 3/4 full like i did when i set the gains for my woofer!? thanks in advance for input, i really appreciate it Beckett! EDIT; here is how i have the rca's in the amp it has on the amp either 'A' or 'A+B' for the rca's, not sure which one to put it in? and here is how the speaker wires are wired into the amp (4 2-wayspeakers total. they are not wired up yet, i just prepared the wire at the amp end) also i dont have any manuals for the amp due to i bought it second hand ages ago. i seriously would like help asap because i have nearly fitted all the speaker brackets etc thanks again Ben Beckett!
