kcarter1227
Hello all, getting ready to start ordering parts for a build, this question will pertain to the highs and mids aspect of it. My plans are to run an AQ 200.2 which is 340x2 at 2 ohms. For speakers I'm really interested in using the Incriminator I65C components, they will match the Lethal Injection's I'm wanting to run off of my AQ 2200. The I65C's are listed as 4 ohms I was going to buy 4 sets, they are listed as 85 watts per side so two full sets would go to each channel. My question is how will the impendance work? I know if I wire 4 mids and 4 tweets per channel I can get them at a 2 ohm impendance if each speaker is 4 ohms but when wiring to a crossover how does that affect impendance ? From what I understand, each set wired to a crossover will give me 4 ohms by themselves but if I wire 4 crossovers, the safest load I will be able to run is four ohms.... I don't mind running without crossovers, I know it will complicate things but I'm open. Any help is greatly appreciated ! kcarter1227
When it says two sets, that's only referring to 2 crossovers as in like 4 mids/tweeters? Because I'm buying 4 sets which will include 8 crossovers total connected to 8 tweets and 8 6.5's so it will be 4 crossovers per channel? kcarter1227
Unfortunately the amp puts out too much power for only 1 set per side, it'd blow em In a jiffy and 4x85 is 340 which is what the amp puts out at 2 ohms Team Lethal Pressure Vice-President 2002 Ford F-150 Supercrew -Taramps DSP 3000 (subs) -Taramps DSP 1600 (mids) -8 Skar Audio FSX Mids -4 Skar Audio VX35-ST Super Tweets -85' of 1/0 EB Flex Welding Cable -XS D3400 under the hood -Datasafe 12HX505-FR in the rear (110 ah) -Pioneer AVH-2700BS -2 Soundqubed HDS315's -4th order Blowthrough -100 Sq. feet of deadener (Qmat, GP STFU, Noico) -147.8 @ 40 Hz -Top 5 in 904 SPL Outlaw's Walled List -Rebuild on the way
