JeepAndBassXJ
Took advantage of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales and got some goodies! Soon I'm going to do a "rebuild" of the system and remove everything so that I can add more sound deadener and replace all of my RCA's and wire. I'm going to switch all the 0 gauge KnuKonceptz wire to OFC Sky High 0 gauge and only reuse the KnuKonceptz cable for a direct negative from front to back. I'm also going to get the Soundstream 800 watt 5 channel amp to run mids and the 8" polk sub. So far I ordered 50' of Sky High 12 gauge OFC speaker wire and I also got some of the KnuKonceptz speaker wire pants to put on the ends of the wires. I also got 20' of the Sky High 0 gauge OFC power wire for the run to the back, also lots or ring terminals to go along and some heat shrinks. For now I orderd 5' of Blue and 5' Black Sky High OFC 4 gauge to sue for the speaker wires to my subs, it just might be overkill but who cares! Also got a sky high fuse holder! I ordered 5 or 6 RCA cables in various lengths to run from the head unit to the EQ then to the amps. All of it being the Karma SS cables. pioneerforlife
Nice build man. How do you like the soundstream stuff? Edit: oh and by the way, dont worry too much about that amp getting hot. i ran my tarantula 3K's at .25 ohm for months and they would get super hot. never stopped playing though. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

Edit: oh and by the way, dont worry too much about that amp getting hot. i ran my tarantula 3K's at .25 ohm for months and they would get super hot. never stopped playing though. I did get it to go into protect mode one time on a 90+ degree day, but it had no room to breath and it takes my voltage down into the mid 12's so that does not help. I changed a few things on my amp rack and mounted the amp about an inch away from the mounting surface so that it gets air on all sides. Also added a few cooling fans for those hot days. Now I can't get that sucker hot! I play it for a half hour or more full tilt and nothing gets hot not even the subs, just my voltage starts to suffer. I love the amp so far! Especially for the price. I dead shorted my 3k's and they are still working lol. They hold up well. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud
JeepAndBassXJ
It's almost like an early Christmas! Got my orders in today, and the best part is that more will be coming! Lots of goodies! Little comparison of wire sizes...all from Sky High... all OFC. All new RCA cables! I also got a Down4sound T-shirt so now I'm a certified bass head! Still am ordering things and I wont be starting the rebuild until January because I'm still entered in SOTM this month; but I'll keep the updates coming!
