Hey all

New to the forum

Been lurking quite a while though!

Anyway

Im setting up a SQL system in my 08 Maxima

Ive decided to drop down to 1 12" sub in the trunk

The sub is a Hertz HX300

From what Im told they perform Nicely in a 1.3 cf sealed enclosure

So...This is what im planning on

The Amp is a Arc Audio 2150se bridged...so give or take 600 rms max

My components consist of a set of Hertz HST 165s and a pr of Hertz HCX 165s powered by a Arc 4100se

Im looking for a nice clean bass effect

Thanks in advance

Can anyone Please help me with a design or specs for this build??

You can use the same box for the TDX, you could just swap subs to test, for your type of application I would stay sealed with either sub, if you want ported just to test I could give something but based on the sub data and their recommended box it looks it will play nicer on sealed, sure enough ported will be much louder and efficient.

I may try that

But Im still interested in maybe doing a ported for days when I want it loud....lol

Seriously. ...wouldn't mind something ported that will produce good SQL results???

(Besides, I've got a 3/4 sheet of 3/4 mdf sitting here...with another box written all over it..lol)

I have a pwk design for a box..but its a very serious box!

About 6 ft or port!

@ 1.99 cf net

I believe it was designed for a DD 2000w sub

Too much ya think???

Im gonna try the 1.3 this weekend.

Gotta get the 80prs installed also

Do you by chance have something ported that may work for either sub that will still produce good sq??

I've read that if designed correctly and ported can and will provide good SQ

Any truth to this?
