The perfect tuning frequency for the port, is the resonant frequency of the sealed section. As far as port area, I do not know much about that, but I hear they like a lot of it.more thread jacking while we are on the subject. How do you find the resonant frequency of the sealed section? You can use several tools, such as a SMD AMM-1, and Dayton audio DATS. As well I am sure you could build the shell of the box with the sealed section, and run a frequency sweep and figure out where it peaks.
