Looking for H/u and 6x9 possibly 5 1/4

So my younger brother recently got his first car. a 96 Monte Carlo. when he bought it it came with and aftermarket system installed.

a cheap alpine unit, stock speakers and an old kicker sub/amp combo thing. its all garbage and VERRRY poorly installed. im talking not even safe. meme worthy type shit. ill def show some pics when i rip it apart.

anyways long story short. for Christmas I plan on doing a clean install for him and i figured i check here before going out to buy new equipment.

what im looking for is;

a single din headunit for him.

i also need a set of 6x9s.

im open to offers on 5 1/4's

its his first car so he doesn't need anything super fancy. Just hoping to maybe find something a little better than bargain bin equipment on sonicelectronix or crutchfield. Id like to keep it under $300 total. (I have subs, an amp , and wire for days so $300 shouldn't be too hard).
