I am still waiting on my Router Jasper circle cutting jig to come in the mail and cut all holes with a jigsaw. Not perfect but they are real close for cutting by hand.

Great work viol8ter! at least give the width of the port to the hatch but more can be better, experiment to see what works best for you, happily you seem to have enough space to move it back a little.

Luckily I do have a good 6 inches to move it back sadly it will take unplugging everything and adjusting to get it back the 6 inches. I think I will wait until the first snow drops to do that . lol

This box rocks way better than my last POS test box and cleaner than any separated slot ported box I have ever made. Heres my old POS setup...

? This amp says its 1 channel but has 2 channels. I have been told no need to bridge but goes against everything I know. Did I run it wrong or should I bridge the the Amp?

No need to bridge, it wont change output. It's a monoblock with two inputs connected in parallel so you can connect the subs seperatw if wanted.

Thanks. I have them ran into one side now but have 2 wires twisted together and wonder if it would be better to put them into there own side since it don't matter?

i do have 1 piece of constructive criticism for you. you need to drill pilot holes for your screws. this will prevent the mdf from splitting out like it did. other than that, very nice work, looks good

Thanks. I did drill pilot holes I just forgot and put my screws to close to the edge in a couple places and was to lazy to glue and clamp them back together before I took pictures.

I just looked back thru your posted pics.

your not THAT far off of center where i see the material cracked and split. If you did pilot drill those, use a touch bigger bit next time. Cracked and split materials (especially materials such as mdf) lose a ton of strength when that happens. With as much power as we run today, and with the sheer violence today's woofers generate, one needs to keep things as strong and stiff as possible. Not only will your ears be happier in the long run, but, so will you when the enclosure keeps sounding great for many years to come.

Another suggestion (if your anything at all like myself, you want the next built to be better than the last) I would use some sort of high built 2K primer on the port areas. Sand that down prior to painting. It will not only look better, It will also help smooth out the air flow in the port just a little bit.

All in all, great work though!

Thanks. I will try and use a larger drill bit next time and see if I can keep it from splitting close to the edges. How far should I be pre drilling these holes, the length of the screw or longer? I have been doing to length of the screw.
