bigskillsvw Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 bought smd dd1 to set gain on alpine pdx v9 amp. channel 1/2 are front with a gain and 3/4 are rear with a gain, where do I attach the smd to set gain ??
Syphlyn Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Read the manual. Put your positive probe into one of the speaker positive outputs and the negative probe into the amps ground. Might have to move the positive probe into a different speaker output if you don't get a signal. Syphlyn Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 thanks, was not sure with both channels being on one gain. For channels one and two do what I described above and set the gain, then repeat for channels 3/4. You'll have to set both gain controls by plugging into channel 1 or 2 and then into 3 or 4.
