Tall and skinny will provide more cone control both doors open...in my 6th I found tall and skinny 23" tall and 13" wide sounded better on music but was a few tenths quieter at peak than the similarly sized and tuned square ports I have tried. I'll be going back to tall and skinny soon.

Lots of people say i´m wrong, but, bigger power (along with few other things) meant bigger port area on MY application, same thing on my boy pipo sanchez truck, with small power i got louder with only 410 SQ of port for 8 15s on less than 2000 watts clamped at peak frequency, right now i have around 520 SQ of port and 2600 clamped doing close to 156 @ 40 hz.

BTW, round overs dropped my score on the TL and ear-o-meter no matter what i did, some people say they really help once you have tons of power, hope i can find out myself in a few months when i see about 8K clamped ;)

I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Panamenian 2009 & 2010 & 2014 Bass Race 149.9 Champion!
