BigMike916 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 This is the standard method that comcast uses in their bucket trucks. 2 huge 6v batteries wired to 12v. Huge reserve capacity with each cell being that large. They don't seem to have problems with that setup, we only ever replace them due to age. The only reason I had to replace my RV's batteries was because after 5 years, using EVERY WEEKEND, they were ballooned, and the last month or so I've had to jump them a few times. (have the isolator bypassed). Seems the age was the only issue.

Well not really free, been putting money into my maintenance account weekly for 5 years and the repairs done, leaves me with some left-over. 8 batteries fit very nicely across the bed, below the window. I have a "use it or lose it" maintenance account with some excess funds in it SOoooo, I think my batteries are going out again in my work truck...........
