Jordan Thurston Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 I'm looking for an amp for my 2 sundowns thinking somewhere between 1000 and 1500 watts I'm pretty sure the subs can handle a little more than 1000 rms. Looking to spend no more than 400 can anyone recommend some good amps?
SPL.Pantie.Soak Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 CT sounds 7k From what I have heard they can handle more then 1k, once again this is from what I've heard. Kenwood KVT-614 (4) Marathon 155 AH batts 2/0 OFC SHCA Mechman 370 (2) Audioque 3500.1 (2) AA Mayhem 15s
Jordan Thurston Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 Where can you buy ct sounds amp the 7000 would probably be a little big lol
evermaxx Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 I wouldnt give these over 1k.. maybe 600-700 at most Just cause it's sundown doesn't mean you can throw x2 rms power at it lol. If you need that power at 2 ohm, I have a ct sounds 1400.1 brand new in box for 350. It does around 900-1200w @ 2ohm. Team Subsonic Lows Get your garbage EMF products of my amp bitch Man....it makes a nice work bench
Jordan Thurston Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 I have an alpine mrp-m1000 but it died on me I can send that to alpine and they will fix it for 70 but Idk if I should do that or buy a newer little bit bigger amp
Jordan Thurston Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 Was thinking about the soundqubed 2200 or maybe a kicker 1500 I can get the kicker for around 360 on eBay I can always turn the amp down. Eventually I want to get 2 sa 12s so if I have the bigger amp now I won't have to upgrade later
xrojas 13 Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=111477969683&alt=web never tried but they look promising
Jordan Thurston Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 Yeah I was kinda wondering about Orion it says cea compliant I wonder if it still does the 1200 rms like it says
CleanSierra Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Why did you get D2 coils? The best thing you could have done was gotten D4 coils so you could have gotten an affordable amp that puts its power out at 1 ohm. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
