magillaru Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 I'm sure this isn't anything new to most of you but this helped me a lot with the beginning stages of my build. Pretty simple and probably obvious to most but if this is your first build, it's the little things that count! Using Google Sketchup (or any other design software), create templates of the full sheets you'll be using to cut. Then, fit the cut sheets in like a puzzle that maximizes the area of each sheet. Add dimensions to each cut sheet and then you're ready to measure, draw everything out and cut away! This also helped me in determining how many sheets to buy, especially if you're getting some higher grade plywood and need to keep costs down as much as possible.
