I bought 4 - CT 18's for my Jeep GC , I wanted to do a build and keep the back seat so I built sealed enclosures. I had to build 2 separate boxes to get them in, no big deal , its still needs panels but its all in. I have only hooked up 2 subs so far , and not impressed at all. in fact my 15 kicker cvr's did much better. I have approx. 3.5 cuf ft per sub & running them on a older Kicker KX1200.1 I had spoke with CT sounds they also said 3.5 cubes sealed , but them just seem to fall flat. So should I tear it out start over go with only 2 subs in a ported enclosure or get all 4 in and see how it sounds. right now there are almost no real lows & not much air moving which is a big disappointment. before you ask , yes they are in phase. only thing I can think is they need more then 3.5 cu ft sealed to sound good. thanks JP also if anyone would recommend some build plans for slot ported box to fit would be great. im good at building boxes, not to good on figuring the port area.

Have a base line to work from with a new box. i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah.. You want this to happen to you? Trust me it's plenty enough power, I could smell the coils heating up on the 2 I had running . I'll be heading home shortly and will hook up the top 2 and see what happens. I just know my 15's in sealed box was killing these 2 18's , so something isn't right

If your smelling coil from a sealed box on 1k you are doing more than one thing drastically wrong. Build a wall and be happy l. Fuck the back seats. This is older series amps & the test papers are 1348 & 1400 rms @ 1ohm But I would think these 18's would handle them fine, I guess I'll build a ported box for 2 of them for now. Still trying to find out how to load a pic can u help
