Cynicalbass210 Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Im going to be starting a new build in the new daily car i got, its a 2001 honda accord so i have the trunk space but didnt want to go too big as i commute for work everyday. I need help designing a box for one hdc3 10. I dont have a problem building it, just not too savy on designs :/. Ill be running it on an saz-3500 probably at 1ohm. Id also like to run aeroports but looking/searching around not too sure the size and how many to go with. Would anyone be willing to help a fellow basshead out? 1991 Nissan PathfinderMechman 240A altAll wire 100% OFC 1/0Kenwood KDC-X497Pair of Kenwood Tweets/Pair of Rockford P1 5x7s9ft3 vented box ~32hz2 AQ HDC3 copper coil 18sSAZ-3500 @ 1ohm Powerbass ASA 200.239 sq. ft. damp pro.Kinetik 1200&2400(x2)

Jeff4661 Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Can u get some max dimensions? Also what's Ur tuning preferences? Wood type preference? Current build 05 Yukon SLT http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195350-jeffs-05-yukong-wall-build/
Joe X Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 So here is a suggestion, power: ~2K, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 2", figure is just an assembly guide: NOTE: Box estimated dimensions need to be verified by you before considering building. NOTE: If building outside you may need to build a cardboard dummy box to test fit in it's way inside. NOTE: DO NOT try 3.5K on that sub, you can give 2K or so and that's about it, get a second sub if you want to do 3.5K+.
Cynicalbass210 Posted November 8, 2014 Author Report Posted November 8, 2014 Can u get some max dimensions? Also what's Ur tuning preferences? Wood type preference? Sorry about the late response guys, work has had me tied up all week. But max dimensions of the enclosure would be 32x14.5x17 (LengthxHeightxDepth). I like tuning around 32hz and up to 36hz or so. My last box was made out of birch and really loved the way it sounded, plus the weight was less than that of an mdf enclosure. Thanks for the input dude, if I dont get any more ideas ill probably be going with these specifications. And alrighty, i wont put the full 3500rms to the sub lol, ill wire it at a 2ohm load. 1991 Nissan PathfinderMechman 240A altAll wire 100% OFC 1/0Kenwood KDC-X497Pair of Kenwood Tweets/Pair of Rockford P1 5x7s9ft3 vented box ~32hz2 AQ HDC3 copper coil 18sSAZ-3500 @ 1ohm Powerbass ASA 200.239 sq. ft. damp pro.Kinetik 1200&2400(x2)
