oldschoolaudio
Need a little help. I'm building a center console for my '97 Suburban and need some ideas. It will have some 6.5 coaxials in it. I plan on making it out of 1/4" or 1/2" MDF. Using ABF plastic sheets to make a plate to mount my temp and volt gauge in. Need a place to source out cup holders that will actually hold a cup! Stock ones in the stock center suck! Need a good online place to find vinyl also. It is going to go from the dash to right behind the front seats and have cup holders for the middle seat also. Any ideas, pics, suggestion will be appreciated! jk13
You're a little earlier than me. I'll be building mine after the new year in my '96, along with a completely new dash. For cup holders the insert from a 99-06 truck that has cup holders and other misc. storage is easy to work with. Or go to a junk yard and find a random CC to cut apart and mold in, or you can buy plastic or stainless drop in cup holders on ebay, skidim.com, bakesonline, etc. Static drops are my bag. oldschoolaudio
Well I'm just in the planning stages right now. Trying to make it look like it is a factor console, but better!
