Guest Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 I am looking to run 150wrms to each of my four doors. My plan is get two of the Crescendo 500/2 2-channel amps, one for the front two doors and one for the rear. And getting the Mezzo Components for the front two door and a pair of PWX 6.5s for the rear two. I want a decent sound quality setup that doesn't sacrifice volume. I know with this kind of wattage it will def be loud, but are these components going to deliver decent sq? There are not too many other 150rms component sets out there. I found an MTX set and a Diamond audio set that are 150wrms, but that is all I found. The diamond set looks super nice, it's their hex series, but its a tad bit expensive. If the Mezzo's work well, I think I will go with those. What do you all think?
TheBrown57 Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 I'm planning the exact same for my build. I have heard the PWXs at shows and I am a big fan of them. Haven't had a chance to hear the Mezzos yet. New to the car audio world and looking to learn as much as I can.
CJ18 Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 The mezzos are a very nice mid level budget minded component set. I have a set in my daily driver now and love them. If either of you need help with the Mezzos or amps for them, please let me know, I would be more than happy to assist you.
Aj11 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 if only there was a section for this.... but both speakers listed are great and will perform! are you running a sub stage? if not its gonna be painful annoying loud. i have a 60.4 to my ten different speakers for mids and highs. (amp does about 100w from each channel at 2ohm. front stage is 1.9ohm rear is 2.6ohm) when i tuned with a dd1 it was so loud in my car it was painful and... well annoying! i backed the gain way way down. and thats fighting over a massive 15 on 1.8k (about to double the power) but in short yes.. it will work great. get the mezzo and pwx. don't get the kicker... i highly doubt they will take a true 150w rms for very long. especially if you cross them any lower then 500hz. get the tweets off the door and onto your A pillar, bounce them off glass whenever you can. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
