Spherilux Posted November 30, 2014 Author Report Posted November 30, 2014 if thats your goal get 4 6.5 and 4 tweeters. wire 2 6.5 in parallel to 2 ohms.. crescendo pwx actually sound good for pa speakers I kinda dont want to go with the pwxs, since they have a freaking 80mm mounting depth compared to the neo loud speakers with 51mm monuting depth.. edit: also.. lets say i run a amp that is rated 350x4 @ 2ohm and run the 6,5s in pararell off the front channels and then i run the 4 tweeters off rear channels. If i tune everything with oscope or dd1, will the tweeters still not blow, even tho the amp is rated double the power of the tweeters all together? or will it all be good if gain is tuned rite. Like amp is 350wrms x4 @2ohm Tweeters are 75wrms ea mids, 160wrms ea Kinda stupid explained but hope u understand
Aj11 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 mm, trying to remember that decks Max clipping. i know it's 4 clicks away from Max volume. but what those numbers are... i forget. say it goes to volume 40 36 would be Max not clipping. also unless your running over 3000w to your substage one good set of comps will be fine with100w rms. with my set up I'm rrunning 1 1400.1 (a second will be here this week) with a pair of type r comps up front and 6 tweets in the back. (mids coming soon) on a "Lil" 60.4 amp when i set the gain with a dd1 it was way...way...way to fucking loud! ear piercing headache causing painfully loud highs and mids. so just start with a good 4 channel and run your whole system off the 4ch. if that's not enough then do a 4ch up front and 2ch in the rear. but i bet it will be more then enough Man jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
Miguels Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 look into the prv. http://www.droppinhzcaraudio.com/6mb200-4-4ohm/ 4 tweeters will be too much for what you have but if thats what you want then go for it. there is no need to give them over rated power even if they could take it.. they will get very loud on 100 watts.. you need to EQ them good too or it will be like the singer is yelling out of them set the gain on them lower than you would on the mids or wire them to 8 ohms so they see less watts my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

Spherilux Posted December 1, 2014 Author Report Posted December 1, 2014 My orginal plan was to run RF punch pro mid 6,5s.. but kinda expensive.. Is it worth the money? any thoughts?
Aj11 Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 like i said i don't know much about rf. but i will say every system I've heard with pvr has impressed Me! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
