maxwell 350F 2.7v

i've been doing some reading and i'm having a little trouble figuring out how these would work in the car audio field. my understanding is this cap is rated at 2.7v so if i connected 6 of them together in series it would be a 16.2v bank with 350 farads, which i could safely charge to 14.4v, is this correct or way off?

Subs: 2 DC lvl4 18"s

Mids/highs: nendo pwx 8" and 2 sets of 6.5" mezzo's

Amps: hifonics 2500.1d & hifonics 1200.4 & RF 600.2

145.8 seald up in the kick.

You're correct on the voltage but the capacitance decreases every time you series the caps. So 350/6= 58.3 so you would have 58.3 farads

okay, so would wiring parallel increase my capacitance? or would that be bad news?

Parallel capacitance is additive but the voltage is not so Supercaps will still have the 2.7V limit, so you have to wire them In series which reduces your capacitance.

Therefore you want to start with the largest separate capacitance you can get.
