brent379 Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 lets start off with this, this is my current enclosure: 2.7 net at about 35-36 hz with 58.5 sq in of port. outer dimensions are 35 wide, 14.5 tall, 18.75 deep, made part of the port external to help with internal volume. also running the woofers inverted. i want to rebuild because I have almost no low end, anything under about 33hz just falls completely off. so my next plan is to rebuild the enclosure in the trunk and seal it completely off. car is a 2013 wrx. my goal is low end, i love the lows. anything i play is mainly between 25hz and 40hz, with the exception of rock. this is the space i have to work with: MAX dimensions can be 17.5 tall, 37 wide, and 19 deep. i need help with the porting, with where i want to play im having a hard time of finding the right balance between decent port velocity, and a port that is to big. the port im running right now i feel is too big, but not 100% sure. i have a feeling the main problem is the current box is too small. here are a couple more pics of the trunk: for power i have an aq2200 at .5, dc power 270xp, big 3 in sky high 1/0 ofc, deka 9a35 under the hood, and will be tucking a 9a31 in the right corner of the trunk. any help will be greatly appreciated, like i stated before, my main problem is getting the porting right, and if someone with experience is willing to take the time to help me understand porting more my paypal is ready!
