keith Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 Can anyone tell me if a Mechman 240 amp alt, and 2 xs power d3400 batts will be enough electrical to support 5000 watts rms. I have 2 rockford bdcp 1500s, and I am thinking of getting the Mosconi as200.4 all going in a 1993 Cadillac Coupdeville. Speakers are morel Virtus comps and ssa icon 12s.

keith Posted January 10, 2015 Author Report Posted January 10, 2015 Let me know the results, i probably could run a d3100 in the back. Mechman also have a 320 amp alt for the car but if i don't have to I would prefer not to get it.
Kerry95 Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 Ok so 5000 watts divide 14.4 volts (if your running the car) is 347 amps since you wont get the full watts using music you would be using less amps so the Mechman 240 amp and the 2 XS batteries should be fine if your not running it all day. crownvicon28s Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 275 amp alt, 1 g31 upfront, 3 g31's in rear, 2 pos and 2 neg runs of 0 gauge ofc running a 5k at .5 ohm daily and a 400 watt 4ch holds 13v+ while driving on music.
