painting plate that goes on front of amp?

any reason why i couldn't remove the middle aluminum plate on my sundown amps and paint it to match the rest of my build? would i have to use say a high temp paint or would normal rustoleum can do the trick with some primer first? any tips are appreciated, thanks

Go for it, I just finished doing this to 2 crescendo amps, color matched the aweful orange insert to the car body color, looks much better.
