Scotty Cross
Ok so the setup is gonna go in a 2000 ford excursion 4 mojo 15d4 ( 1750 rms ) paired up to 1ohm each pair powered by its own mc1.4000 ( 4000 memphis mclass monoBlock ) 2 extra battries by the amps a 200 alt with dual battries on the front ( Diesel ) Me and my installer are thinking of runing a downward fireing box about. 15Hx48Wx48L box around 16cu @ 37htz with each pair firing into a chamber with the port fireing off to the back. but would this be a downfall seems all the suvs i see runing 15's fire the subs up with port to back? just wondering if this idea of downward fireing would hurt the overall spl or sound Thanks also running 4 sets of 6.5 15mcc6a compents and 4 sets of tweeters for my front stage to hopefuly keep up with the bass thanks. immeno
When I had 2 Obsidian Audio 15s, The best configuration was subs up, port back. Every vehicle is different though. I would go with a subs up/port back design though for maximum music output along with SPL. 4 DSS Trident 15s2 Taramps 8ks7 Duracell Batteries totalLots o' wireLots o' 4th orderTeam Audiomatic and Team SLC SOUNDRIVE
