Now my question is where should it be set if using a larger box when underpowering and also a smaller box when overpowering? Vw Polo Pioneer Deh-6050UB Sundown Saz-3500d DD Audio 9500 15'' 5.5 cubic feet box with 10 inch port @ 38hz I live to hear the Bass drop!!!
Joe X Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Set it at tuning and then go down from there, with ported in a way large box overexcursion can happen above tuning as well so careful with that designing as the subsonic can do nothing about it.

With subsonic at tuning will a larger box still be able to produce notes lower than the subsonic point? Joe X Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Yes but not much, probably 2-3Hz below tuning you will still get enough output, if cabin gain is strong at tuning it may extend some more.

I am trying to work on building efficient boxes for people so they save up, instead of getting monster amps to power their setups.
