bcharlsen Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 I just bought a 08 maxima. it has bose stereo and for now i am rolling with the stock headunit and upgrading my front components and rear door speakers. i was wounder if there is a website that has a wiring diagram on what wire is positive and witch one is neg. Also in the rear deck i think there is two subs or mid bass drivers. no idea what size they are and really don't want to take it apart just to find out what they are. any help would be awesome! thank you
sierra mist Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 Rear speakers are 6x9 woofers. Are you going to add an amp to power the comps and speakers?
Rich Schenk Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 Search the 12volt.com they have a lot of wiring diagrams On 3/28/2014 at 4:22 PM, KyLar96 said: Its all about the music anyway..... bcharlsen Posted February 26, 2015 Author Report Posted February 26, 2015 I'm going to add a 5 or 6 channel amp down the road. I'm just buying everything in pieces right now.
choicewhitemeat Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 You are going to have a headache replacing speakers in the Bose system due to the fact that there is an external bose amp underneath the rear deck. The ohm load of the speakers and amp are kind of a mystery to us Maxima owners. From what I've read, the speakers are all 1ohm. The Bose amp has a dedicated portion just for the rear deck subwoofers but the wiring is confusing the heck out of me. You might need an electrical engineer to figure this out. BTW, The size of your rear deck speakers are 8" subs. Here is the FSM for your Maxima: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Maxima/2008_Maxima/ The AV.pdf has all the wiring schematics I'm assuming you don't have Navi so you should look at page AV-10 The wiring colors are on page 18,19,20 2009 Nissan Maxima SV Super Black KH3 Hardwired Beltronics 955 Radar Pioneer DEH-M9400BH with Stock Bose Speakers Custom fiberglass HVAC display Nexus 7 Tablet w/ Custom Fiberglassed Magnet dock KnuKonceptz Big 3 and wiring 2 Alpine Type E 10's with Alpine MRP-M500 Build Log HERE
bcharlsen Posted February 26, 2015 Author Report Posted February 26, 2015 So should I wait to install a amp?
sierra mist Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 I have a 2007 Maxima with Bose. I took the Bose amp out and run an aftermarket amp.
