You say it's OFC and that's great if it is, but is the conductor actually large enough for the power transfer? Is it legit wire or a case of thick jacket foolery? As for your 680 ground, just for good measure, try taking a wire brush to the area that will be contacting the wire lug. Or... run a ground from the back battery through the floor pan yo frame.
