CustomSeatsOfLouisiana Posted March 20, 2015 Report Posted March 20, 2015 I have a 2012 crewmax tundra and just purchased a trio (3) Sundown SD2 10" dual4ohm subs.. I want to try and stuff these three subs in a ported enclosure behind my back seat and still retain factory leg & recline room.. Amp will be the Sundown SCV-2000D. 1- do yall think its possible to pull off? 2- has anyone done it and can help me out with a box/port design. (not asking for a handout ill pay for the right box that will be optimal for my goals) opinions?

You'll also have to move the seats forward three or four clicks to accommodate the depth. CustomSeatsOfLouisiana Posted March 21, 2015 Author Report Posted March 21, 2015 Yea i have 2 apline type S in a ported box and havent sacrificed any forward or recline room. but those subs blew for mardi gras and i just bought these 3 SD2's.. Figured if im going to upgrade might as well go big.. IF the box size is too large ported i may drop down to 2 ported or all 3 sealed.. any thoughts on which would be the better setup?
arcwcb Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Depends on airspace, tuning, power, etc. Obviously, all things being equal, the extra cone area of the three 10s would get louder, but don't try to cram them in to a tiny box with no port area just to get the third sub. I know im asking for the best of all worlds. But im willing to make sacrifices on space as long as im not giving up too much room.. That was the main reason of this post to get insight on box setup or if its even worth trying to go with 3 ported or should i just go 2 ported or 3 sealed.. thats my dillema
