TezasBassBox Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Hey guys I'm trying to build a ported box for this sub using Torres. I'm trying to get the best sound for my daily driver. the re site says 1.25 cubic feet is optimum and 34hz is best. I'm trying to figure out the port area and anything else i will need to make this thing sound good. I currently I have a box I built using the re calculator and it sounds great but I feel there is more to be had here. and advice is appreciated. The dimensions I have to work with are 13 wide x 15 high x 25 deep this will be a console box between two seats in a ruck. Cj Kumz Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 How much power are you running? And what are the specs of your current box. TezasBassBox Posted March 21, 2015 Author Report Posted March 21, 2015 Im currently running a kicker zx pushing 500 watts. the current build is sub up port forward. 13.5in H x 14.5in W x 19.5 deep built off the RE calc. The next build will be sub down port down. I will need to cut the with down by 1.5 to add sides that will elevate the box off the floor 4 inches. The depth and height can go up if need be. preferably the depth though. Thanks for the response. Subs don't hit when powered by cheap amps!
