Enclosure for American Bass Hd15 & 2500 Rms

Like the title says, im looking for some input on a enclosure for a American Bass HD15. i have never owned or used one. I know they are fairly similar to other subs but still different lol.

This be going into a trunk in my Honda. Im thinking that i will be better off using a aeroport(8" aero) to help save on space because im limited. Im looking for a SPL/Daily medium so im thinking 37hz tuning(my preference). When i compete i dont do alot of burps so i try to stay away from full on burp boxes.

Power will be about 2500 Rms.

i was told by a friend that 4.5 cubes NET with 1 8" Aeroport Port. To me that seems kind of big, but again ive never used these.

thoughts?

Thanks

Better that port is very well flared. Also 1K above rated will require pretty good skill to avoid thermal failure. Lastly 4.5 net is something that you may not have in a trunk car. if building outside build a test cardboard box to see if it fits before building. Would recommend to do a good seal of if possible to lift up your low end a little.

After rise and voltage drop i dout it will ever see 2500. it would be 500 over if any, and believe me i usually overpower subs a little bit, but make the enclosure a little smaller.

I already know exactly what will slid right into the trunk with out issues. I could get a box thats 4.5 cubes net into the trunk. 5.07 gross would slide right in and then i could add external bracing to the box. Im just looking at ideas on the Net cubes about them.

Im thinking about 4.25 cubes net with a single 8" aeroport tuned to 38hz
