Allen Lancos Posted April 8, 2015 Report Share Posted April 8, 2015 I purchased an NS1 a couple months ago and had a financial situation come up that brought my upgrade to a halt. I'm currently running 4 Kicker CVRs rated at a combined 1600 watts rms. I've currently got a Rockford P1000.1bd which is rated at 1000 watts at 1ohm pushing the 12's. My question is can I simply drop the NS1 in place of the Rockford without having to upgrade the electrical system. The NS1 is rated at 1800 watts at 4ohms, subs are duel 2's so I can go 4 ohms! So do I really have to go all crazy to push 1800 watts or can it wait? Only upgrade I have done electrically so far is installed a yellow top battery and have 2 runs of 4 awg wire from alt to battery and from battery to frame. Fuse block has duel 160amp fuses. If you need more details please ask I'll gladly give any additional info I can! I hate seeing this amp just sit here!
