SnowDrifter
Was testing my lights to make sure everything worked before gluing and assembling. All was fine and good, then I tested the shutter for the high beams. When I touched the leads of the shutter to the battery, I got shocked. Tried it again, got shocked again. Rather interesting as I've NEVER gotten a shock from a 12v source Best theory I can come up with is there's a magnet in the windings to apply mechanical pressure to activate the shutter. When I take the power off the magnet slides back into place and makes a small current across the windings, creating the shock? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
