Squeezing a bigger alt in

I found this website with a way to make a large case fit on a shitbox 01 malibu like mine. What are the opinions on this for a low cost way to get a little more power out of my alt for not much more than stock?
It was on alternatorparts under malibu alternator upgrade, if my phone would let me paste I would but Googling that should get you there. Also they have multiple rectifier options, which is best for me?

It's basically a way to take the stock alt which is a cs130d I guess and convert to an ad244

I have heard not to waste your time with those. I don't have direct experience with them though. The moral of the story is you get what you pay for.

What are you system goals?

My stock alt just went out, at cruising rpms the stock did fine but at idle I was lacking. I read that swapping gets better idle amps.
