Colby808 Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 I am going to start a new project, however i have always only used 1 woofer. I am going to be using two 18 inch 1500 watt rms woofers dvc 1 ohm. My question is: wiring these in parallel is a 2000 watt rms amp enough?
Triticum Agricolam Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Enough for what? It will certainly make noise, the question is how loud do you want to get? What 2000 watt amp are you looking at? "Nothing prevents people from knowing the truth more than the belief they already know it.""Making bass is easy, making music is the hard part."Builds:
Colby808 Posted April 14, 2015 Author Report Posted April 14, 2015 Im looking at a soundstream Ta.1 2000 watt rms class D amp. Im wondering can I hook up both subs( DVC 1 Ohm ) to this single amp. Also will it push Hard?
sirhutson Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 YES but you will need to wire them seperately in series to achieve 2 ohm on each driver and then wire them together in parallel to achieve 1 ohm. With proper electrical, this should be slightly aggressive. boss 1200 and a ipod nano.
Colby808 Posted April 14, 2015 Author Report Posted April 14, 2015 Can you explain how to do that, wire diagrams? Thanks for the help
