Guest
Ok cool, I am gonna test that tmrw! I will run like a jumper cable from front to rear on top of existing grounds to see if that helps. Hopefully this fixes it.. Hey broke do you think that having belt slipping can contribute to alternator whine or is that a separate issue?
Ahmed Johnson
An easy way to test before run jumper cables is test the voltage at the back battery to the front battery. If you have very little to no voltage drop between the two while the car is running your grounds are probably good.

At least, I was told to connect my voltmeter to my rear battery basically for that reason.
Broke_Audio_Addict
Yeah the rear voltage will be lower. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Broke_Audio_Addict
I don't think belt slip would cause the issue. Ahmed Johnson
The rear shouldn't be that much lower.
Guest
The jumper cable from the front to back did not work...
Ahmed Johnson
Lol!!! You didn't even try to check the voltage between the 2 batteries before you did that, did you? Don't be afraid of the DMM it is a very useful tool.

Broke_Audio_Addict
When you tested the jumper you moved the amp grounds right?
