Joe X
Here are the parameters: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p2d2-12 Also you use the manufacturer's suggestion as a reference not what the program suggests (as it is not made for car audio), to give you an idea of a sample spec for those subs: 4 cubic feet net total, 50 square inches of port area, ~23 inhes port length for a 33Hz tuning, speaker displacement is 1.61 liter per driver. masterkiwi
Hi Joe, thanks for your reply! I found a post you made for another guy some time ago:http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/187842-sub-advice-maybe-enclosure-design/?p=2813068 Should i do exactly that 2 times? only problem is i have limited room in my trunk, about 86cm width and 50cm height, that's where the woofers and port should be, depth (from backseat to trunk) can be towards 1 meter i think.. Joe X
So here is a suggestion for you, can use as reference or build, wood thickness is 18 mm, power: to subs rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 9 cm, figure is just an assembly guide: NOTE: If building outside you need to build a cardboard dummy box to test fit in it's way inside. masterkiwi
Wow dude, thats exactly what i was looking for!!! I wish i knew how you did the calculations.. Thanks for the work and thanks for the extra tip, will build it inside as i know it won't fit haha
Joe X
You're welcome, consider getting the box in from the backseats, it may be possible, try to build the cardboard box and see what works, I can further modify the above so that you can build outside if you want.
