Box for 2 Sundown Sa 15's

Title says it. I purchased 2 Sundown SA 15's and the local shop that I went to, to have the box built did not do what I asked, and I came away with a box that sounds like shit, and only hits high notes. With that being said, I will be trying to get my money back and go else where or build one my self. I messaged Joe x, but in case he doesnt have time, I will post here as well. I listen to mainly rap/slowed rap/ and decaf music. With that being said, the dimensions that I have to work with are 28" Deep 21" Tall and 41" Wide. I can go taller if needed, but that's the maximum depth and width. I saw a box that Joe posted back in 2012 http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/dd393/JoeDurkham/mrdbottom.jpg . I would like to do something similar, subs up and a big slot port firing back. Not sure what tuning would be the best, but for what I listen to, I was thinking somewhere around 30hz?

Hey Joe that looks great, and thanks for the update. One small issue though, I stopped by a buddies shop today. He used to do a lot of spl cometetions and said without a doubt one of my main problems is a ton of cancellation from the subs firing at the rear hactch, and that I will probably need to go with subs up port up. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't do subs and port up on a SUV unless nothing else was an option, I think the above is worth a try but should you want to follow your bud's advice, that's ok too, whatever you end up doing make a build log on here to see how it went.

Hey Joe, I just got back from vacation and spoke with the shop that built my first box. They said that they will build me a new box, but need all the measurements. are all the measurements they will need in the picture you provided in post #2? Also, what was the total port area on it?

Port area is 112.5 square inches ( ~56 squre inches per driver, above ~6 sqin per driver of sundown's own), all the parts are listed, you need to make sure effective 6" or more port clearance to the closed rear gate is available or it's not going to work right. The sketch is only an assembly guide, actual apperareance may be somewhat different.

That photo bucket pic was the box Joe designed for me back in 2012 and it slams. Im running 2000rms to two sa-15's and they love the enclosure!!
