moredbs Posted May 10, 2015 Report Posted May 10, 2015 this may not be the smartest question, but i was wondering if there is a limit to how many connections you can make to your front primary battery. I'm just wandering because my battery terminals are really hot ,and its been sitting off for over an hour. secondary up front is cool.
magillaru Posted May 10, 2015 Report Posted May 10, 2015 Are they stacked on top of each other or do you have a terminal block? Shouldn't really matter though if it's nice and tight..... How's the temp down there? It was 90 up here today....everything was hot lol Singer Alternators Team Asshole #anothershittysingerbuild
moredbs Posted May 10, 2015 Author Report Posted May 10, 2015 7 spot terminal block, plus adapter for factory harness in front. I'm having some issues with things getting hot, just trouble shooting. and it was 90 here today also.
magillaru Posted May 10, 2015 Report Posted May 10, 2015 I'm guessing your grounds are good and probably the first thing you checked..... Singer Alternators Team Asshole #anothershittysingerbuild
moredbs Posted May 10, 2015 Author Report Posted May 10, 2015 grounds under the truck look a little rusty. i originally sprayed them with under coating, and it didn't stay on well. I'm going to clean them up tomorrow, and plastic dip them.
magillaru Posted May 10, 2015 Report Posted May 10, 2015 Need to do the same thing.....probably going to throw on an extra run just for the hell of it since I have some extra wire lying around..... Was it getting hot before you installed the tfe? Singer Alternators Team Asshole #anothershittysingerbuild
moredbs Posted May 10, 2015 Author Report Posted May 10, 2015 not sure if it was hot before, i just happened to go under the hood to check on connections and noticed. I think i got enough wire to make another ground also, wouldn't hurt.
