What else would I have to buy primer? clear? I know I can do all the work and spraying my self, but I'm not sure of what I need.

i asked my buddy that paints car about this about a month ago..

if i remember correctly...

you need some kinda paint "duh"

paint gun

air compressor

shit load of sandpaper and different grits too "not sure what grit though :unsure:"

simple green "for cleaning the bare metal"

primer

and i think thats it...

now how to do it.. no idea :D

bring that truck to me. i will spray it for you. or sice your in long island take the drive to go to unique autosport. they painted my brothers car when he was stationed somewhere up north. it looked gorgeous.

Im painting my car satin black but its almost the same thing. Some tips for ya make sure you sand all the old paint down to the factory primer. Go up to 400grit and lay a dark primer. Wet sand to 600grit and lay your base flat coat bout 2-3 coats should be fine. For the clear you are going to need a flattening agent in the clear or you will have a glossy black finish. Sand that down with 1000 up to 1500 wet, buff then polish and your done. I'll get picts of my car when I get my camera back. Its in primer stage now.
