and, since i didnt want to open the Kicker EX amp, and was curious as to what a small weak looking amp could do i turned to CT Sounds, Since they openly display their amp guts and Steve showed that CT Sounds dont play around. Check out a CT Sounds AT900.1D rated 900watts rms @ 12.8v and 1ohm. The AT900.1D looks much smaller and alot weaker than the Cadence D1600M and from the Steve Meade amp dyno of the CT amp he had im guessing that AT does its rated 900 and probably more like a solid 1300-1400watts rms. So I feel this Cadence amps pretty good. Not saying its the best of the best but im happy to get it for $300.

Also not am I so pleased with the Cadence D1600M versus a Kicker EX1000.1 that Im selling the Kicker, I bought a Cadence 100.4 class AB 4channel amplifier to complete the set. Total cost for both amps being only $600 I'm pleased. Though still wish to experience a Kicker KX1600.1, But that amp alone costing over $1000 for me is to much at the moment.

Cadence may not be the best, But for $600 cost to me for 2 amps that perform like they do I wont complain one bit.

I feel Canada gets shafted on the car audio prices id love to have got a whole brand new Kicker KX set of amplifiers (KX1600.1 + KX400.4) but that would cost me $1530.00+tax Canadian dollars and at the moment that's out of reach. Though as I said the Cadence D1600M was $880 until discontinued.

I tried the mono D1600M and once impressed looked for a Cadence ZRS 4channel. And then I found one and actually had to pay $300 for the Cadence 100.4 (4channel) too unfortunately as that was the lowest I could find it at the time. Both Cadence amps for $600 is great still since the D1600M alone was $880 normal retail.

Anyways thats my review.

Guaranteed similar to the Kicker EX1000.1 at 1ohm and the Cadence D1600M at 4ohm.

Impressed enough with it to sell the Kicker EX and im happy with the price.

Still curious about the Kicker KX1600.1 and still like Kicker but cant afford it.

AND the only reason the Cadence is replacing the Kicker is that the Kicker is only rated 700 rms @ 2ohms and i want a 2nd subwoofer wich will ultimately give me a 2ohm load and the Cadence is rated 1600 rms @ 2ohms.
