Boon
hello everyone this forum i'm new two car audio so please bare with me my question. i have a hifonic tx6406 the power ratings is as follows: 85w (rms) x4 @ 4ohms 17ow (rms) x 4 @ 2ohms and 340w (rms) X 2 @ 4ohms was just wondering if i was running that amp @ 2ohm which is 170w rms would the amplifer put out 170w rms on each channel or is that the total amount of rms rating of the four channels 170w RMS on each of the channels. So 680wrms total. I would be a little bit skeptical though. Not many amps truely double thier power output between 4 and 2 ohms, because as the impedance drops the amp becomes less efficient. I would expect more like 4x150w. 10.x volts fo' life!
