Dan247 Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 I moved this to the appropriate section so if an admin could remove the other from the sundown section for me that would be awesome. now on to the questions. First one is are there any differences in box recommendations between the new and old series? Next one is when im designing my new box for them, the website says port area is to be at 112 inches. Now if im thinking correctly a box for two should have twice that correct? They will be slot ported in the back of my trailblazer and ran off of a DC 3.5 for now. Was kinda wondering about the port area because the box spec from the site comes up on the small side for the port area when put into Torres box calc. Just wanting to get the most out of them in the space that i have. Last question is how much should i pay attention to the port area per foot when trying to get the squares inches right? Thanks in advance
Joe X Posted July 17, 2015 Report Posted July 17, 2015 Pay no attention to port area per cube, that's a kids way to determine port area, go by the manufacturer's suggestion unless you are operating the subs in very different conditions than it was designed to work in which case use modeling software to get your numbers, twice the port area for two subs.
