HunterJohnson Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 Hi Guys, Selling my Mechman Alt 220AMP comes with two plugs (one with AVBM, one without), unfortunately changed my mind on my Ford Explorer wall build so selling my parts! Pretty sure it needs to be sent to mechman. This is my conversation with Matthew at Mechman Send me a message through SMD please Thanks for looking! Hunter- That alternator is internally regulated. The vehicle has nothing to do with the charging voltage of the alternator. If you bypass the AVBM, the voltage will still drop when the alternator gets hot, this is something that occurs with all alternators. The hotter it gets, the more the voltage will drop. We can send you a regular adapter harness without an AVBM in it, but the problem will probably be worse that way.
