Team Bassick Joey
Using a hatch as a loading chamber even in a low tuned application works to your benefit if done right. I wish more people would realize that before they go building walls their entire life. It's not going to move now, the whole thing has been deadened and filled and is at least three times heavier. You know i was thinking the same shit, i don't want to build a wall because that shit sucks for daily driving, and i really don't have to much time working on so many cars, i was also thinking of doing the same style or even have the woofers firing foward, port back, what ya think? I like to try different port areas and tuning very quickly and box also allows me to do that. Depending on how you set a wall up it is more perm. and usually a huge pain in the ass to change. Providing that you don't mind having some small phasing issues that configuration is usually very effective for low frequencies. Everytime I have done it, it works damn well.
