Bob Tzimenatos Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 I have a small system in my Trailblazer. Stock alt, 4ga OFC to the back, 4 ga ground to body, 4 ga ground from body to chassis. I want to add a second battery in the back. I have a 120A fuse within 6" of my starting batt. When I put the second batt in the back, it will be less than a 2' run to my dist. block. When I add the second batt, should I add another fuse between the second batt and the dist block?
Skullz Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 Adding a second battery will eliminate the need for a distribution block as you can connect everything to the battery, and you always want to fuse the wire going to the battery first as you'll wire straight off of that to your amps. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
