Jekyll94
If you're building in a ext cab truck (for example an s10) with 2 inverted 15s top mounted, what is the best way for the port to go?
dsw422
It all depends on how large your box is and what tuning you want.. the lower the freq, the longer the port.. least amount of bends possible is what you want..what dimensions do you have? What subs, and amp/s 2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan Factory Sony 10 Speaker Sound System 1994 Ford Bronco Dual head unit (i kno) Sony door speakers Kenwood Rear Speakers Custom Center console in the works. will house an NVX NSW10" https://m.facebook.com/WinnsCustomCarAudio/
Jekyll94
I'm working on getting am s10 or similar ext cab truck. Subs will be 2 crossfire c7 15s. Mostly trying to figure out will the port have better results firing up or on the front of the box firing forward? Gonna be slot port box and I'm hoping to be tuned between 35 and 38hz. dsw422
as far as having better result, it is unknown unless you do some testing. I personally in ur situation would do port up. keep in mind that you will need to have sufficient port area. I do not know the max dimensions, so it would be hard to say which way would give sufficient volume, port area and even if 2 subs and port on the same face will work 2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan Factory Sony 10 Speaker Sound System 1994 Ford Bronco Dual head unit (i kno) Sony door speakers Kenwood Rear Speakers Custom Center console in the works. will house an NVX NSW10" https://m.facebook.com/WinnsCustomCarAudio/
gckless
I have never built one, but I think port up is the way to go. Or commit and wall it. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand. Or commit and wall it.Yeah I'm not sure about walling a 4k system with 2 subs. My builder will help me with either but we've been trying to debate what way to port a box in an ext cab. Those subs need about 6.5cuft for 2...
