we_drop_bass
Anyone have experience putting these in a box on the small size of the recommended specs. Thinking about putting a pair of 18s in a little over 11 cubes tuned to 32/33 with ~14 sq in port per cube. Website dictates 5-8 per woofer at 33 with 12-16 per cube This is just a daily setup, in the back of a Yukon Denali likely powered by scv 6000, unless another 6kish amp catches my eye. I listen to some rap, some dubstep/other electronic (like bassnectar) and quite a bit of metal and hard rock 2008 Denali Singer 270 2 XS D3400s under hood Sundown SCV-6000D SHCA 1/0 Q Logic Kickpanels - lame 5.25 components for now ..... Triticum Agricolam
A larger ported box is going to give you more output around tuning, buy may be more peaky. A smaller box will probably have smoother output. Neither size is right or wrong, it just depends on what your personal listening tastes are.
