graham0599 Posted August 28, 2015 Report Posted August 28, 2015 what will the crescendo bc 2000 run on ideal electrical at .5 ohm? yes it will. It won't be covered under warranty unless you paid for that though. Watts is totally subjective to how the amp is being ran. Gain setting is a large factor too. You'll need battery reserve, alternator power, and proper wiring and tuning. I have a BC2K and have ran it quite a bit at .25ohm, I have enough electrical to support it, but I know the risk that it may blow too. graham0599 Posted August 28, 2015 Report Posted August 28, 2015 It won't necessarily make any more power but it will cause things like heat, higher current draw, reduced efficiency, lower damping factor, and a few other fun things. Most wire that low to combat rise but there is in my opinion no reason to do so in a daily and the risk outweigh the benefits again in my opinion.
