is my amp dead?

Hifonics bxi 1206d, I've had it for about 9 months running 1 ohm at 1k watts. Last night I started her up and she sounded disgustingly underpowered like only one of the subs were working, though all 4 where moving. I checked the resistance of all the subs, checked all the connections, switched out the deck in case the previous outs went bad, checked for shorts and checked for blown fuses; everything checked out fine. When I check the speaker outs with my dmm it's reading around 5 volts ac on full tilt, turning up the gain just adds distortion.

Am I sol? Google hasn't been much help :/ if it's even remotely fixable I'd like to take a shot at it since I do have a bit of experience working with electronics and a soldering iron. I just want to exhaust all my options before I take it on a potential death trip lol

Play a test tone full tilt with the RCAs disconnected. What's the output of the head unit?

What are the subs wire at?

What do they measure with an ohmmeter?

Amp get hot?

Grounds good?

Connections tight?

Fuses blown?

How were the gains set previously?

Sorry my car was totalled right when you responded and I finally got a replacement to put my system in xD.

I swapped through 3 separate sets of rca cables and I used the same outputs on my 4 channel amp and it's putting out power like normal so it's not the rcas sadly.

Amp never got hot, sometimes a little warm to the touch but never alarmingly hot.

Ground was good, 1/0 gauge bolted tight to sanded down frame.

I checked all the connections numerous times.

Not a single fuse was blown.

The gains were set at 30v ac with a 50hz tone.

The subs are wired to 1 ohm.

I just cracked it open, but I don't see any noticeable damage, I'll post a pic in a minute maybe someone can see something I missed :/

I really hope I can revive this amp since I had to buy a new car I can't afford a new amp anymore q.q

Unfortunately Hifonics are known to only last a few months. They're stepping-stone/gateway amps. Looks like you're going to have to look for and save up for a more reputable amp manufacturer. Audiopipe is right up there with Hifonics, so no sense in looking at that brand either.
