Wehan Posted October 2, 2015 Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 I have an alternator whine problem in my Cobalt and have tried damn near everything to get rid of it with no luck. I understand that a bad diode in the alternator may cause this so I went and tested mine. I tested for AC voltage across the battery with the car running and got .048-.086 (jumping all around) anyone know if this is to much ac voltage and/or if this is possibly causing this noise problem I am having?
