Skullz Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 You'll need one of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MicroBypass-Double-Pulse-Bypass-for-All-AVH-PIONEER-Parking-Brake-Video-Override-/281345136450?hash=item41817a1742 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Skullz Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 Another thing to consider is the format with which you have to use to watch video on the unit unless it is a dvd. Convert to 640X360 so the video shows up on your H/U. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
bcharlsen Posted October 6, 2015 Author Report Posted October 6, 2015 I've wired the headunit parking wire to a ground with toggle. I've played dvds on it before with no problem.
Skullz Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 Double check all the wiring then. Might be something simple your overlooking. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
boometro Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 you cannot play video with the usb. you will need to get a generic av cable and plug into the av input. they do make ipod/iphone cables that use the usb for audio and a video connection for the video by using the av input http://www.amazon.com/Composite-Video-Tv-rca-Cable-Touch/dp/B0084Z2AHY OR http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Accessories/Smartphone-and-iPod-Cables/CD-IU201S
bcharlsen Posted October 6, 2015 Author Report Posted October 6, 2015 @skulz so youre thinking if i have audio but no picture its bc the resolution could not be right?
Skullz Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 When using anything but a disk you have to convert the files into a format the unit can play. We all have the same problem when trying to play video on pioneer units with usb or something else. Once you convert over to 640 x 360 always check it in the h/u to make sure it will play. I really do not know if this is the issue but we all have the same problem when trying to play video on the units through usb or players connected to it. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
